Every consulting level at Roland Berger has its own characteristics and requirements and it depends very much on the individual personality what is perceived as specific challenge. In my case, being a Senior Consultant means that I am already responsible for more complex project modules or even small projects. So I'm not only working on problem solving or data analyzes but also have to organize the work stream, set timelines and deliverables as well as steering more junior colleagues. This is, of course, on the one hand very rewarding but on the other hand also challenging as I have to take responsibility for more than just myself. Besides that, the clients obviously anticipates a Senior Consultant being an experienced and knowledgable counterpart who fully understands his or her current business challenges.
