Hi Florian, very good question. I believe that when it comes to digitization, there are two core skillsets you can possibly utilize. First, a good grasp of how technology really works and some basic understanding of e.g. data science really help a long way when it comes to applying them on projects - while Roland Berger e.g. has specialists in-house for that, being able to understand both the business and the "techie" world can really set you apart. Secondly, strategic work has become much more of a "What does technology xyz mean for my business and how can I use it to set my company apart?" than it used to be. So having this kind of understanding and being able to creatively think of new business models can also help a long way. Hope this helps!

To add on Maximilian's comment, we as Roland Berger have a specialized Competence Center for digital projects. As I have been working for the Competence Center for 2,5 years, I have used both core skillsets Maximilian mentioned and in my opinion those are the most important ones. I have analyzed the utilization of technology e.g. AI or RPA on projects, as well as helped to disrupt industries through new digital business models. Furthermore, in order to help the clients to succeed with innovations we are looking for consultants which are curious, creative and have a strong understanding of new technologies.
