What type of projects is RB doing in support of climate change? Can you give some examples?

Hi Stijn, I hope you are doing well! We offer a number of different project types - focusing on climate action,we differentiate between Decarbonization project with focus on energy, supply chain or transportation. Also we offer projects more related to circular economy :)

How long does it take each project approximately?

It always depends :) If the project only focuses on the strategic part, it usually takes 3-4 month (depending on the maturity of the company regarding sustainability)

Hi Hülgen, Hi Narine, I hope it is fine if I join the conversation, regarding this topic :) I would like to know if there is a focus regarding the clients. Is the practice mainly working with young companies like startups or more established ones that want to improve their footprint?

Do you work at the client site (in normal times) for these kind of projects?

As we cover all industries, our clients are active in various segments with different maturity levels. Since sustainability is a matter for every company cross-industry, we are happy to support where we can :) But of course, especially companies with a global footprint are more complex and therefore need support from consultancies like us. It always depends on whether the clients need us on-site (which again depends on the kind of project).

Mattis mentioned more established companies, is it more difficult for them to integrate at this level a new sustainable strategy?

Historically grown companies face higher complexity within their operating processes - Hence, it is more difficult for them to implement a new strategy (whether it is sustainability-related or not) - BUT we have a lot of experience in sustainability & climate action and are able to support the clients (no matter how big they are) to implement sustainability strategies by applying a variety of tools, levers and measures

Have you, especially with such big companies, come across "greenwashing"? How does RB handle these situations or offers?

We generally focus on mitigation, not adaptation (in terms of offsetting). But of course, in several industries, we observe that some companies are not willing to tackle climate action holistically. The clients we support are interested in really implementing sustainable strategies to maintain their competitiveness in the long-term
