Hi Moritz - thanks for reaching out! From my experience, analytical skills, strategic thinking, ability to work in a team and the willingness to learn about infrastructure topics are necessary to succeed in an internship.

Alright!
Generally speaking, it is sufficient (in order to master the case studies) to have a broad understanding about the industry (current trends, overall dynamics etc.)?

Yes, a general understanding of the industry is advisable. What matters most, from my point of view, to master the case interviews is, however, the ability to think strategically.

Besides of course Case Prep, what advice would you give prospective candidates to improve the strategic thinking?

Hi Moritz,
This is a great question. To improve your strategic thinking practical experience can help you a lot. Working on different projects with diverse teams and discussing about various topics. There are also several student initiatives you can join to practice and develop your skills.
