Are you referring to an experienced hire from an industry? If so, we expect a certain level of industry background and/or domain specific knowledge. Generally, we expect similar case solving and structural thinking as for regular hires.
Experienced hires usually need some time to adapt to the consulting way of working. E.g., working hypothesis-driven or sometimes "building slides" etc. but that is something you will learn on the job and grow into
