Hi Anon, usually, it always helps digging deeper and better understanding the problems at hand - once you get down to actual facts/numbers, there's little room for disagreeing. Obviously, this can also mean that you were wrong to being with ;-) Hope that helps!

This is a great question. In fact, disagreement with the client happens regularly and it is vital to develop some strategies for coping with this situation. I think three things can be helpful here. First, always try to understand in detail the criticism/problem the client has. Often, the problem lurks somewhere else compared to what you might have suspected initially. Asking questions, staying in the conversation are important here. Second, always keep a positive attitude and think in solutions to the client problem. In my experience, playing too hard too early does not create any benefit at all. Keep in mind that you often work with the client over an extended period and trust is a very valuable source. Third, take a step back and think about the right medium of your response. Consider that the written word is way sharper than a conversation in person.
